Description
After you enjoyed our El Ciprés coffee from El Salvador over the past few days, we’ve selected another exceptional coffee from El Salvador, this time from a different region.
This coffee comes from the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, at an altitude of 1,300–1,400 meters above sea level.
El Carmen is one of the key specialty coffee-producing regions in Central America. The farms have been managed by the distinguished Antonio Alfaro family for nearly a century, with four successive generations dedicated to cultivating coffee up to the present day.
Around 60% of the coffee trees grow under shade, allowing them to develop more slowly and age at a gentler pace. This helps the coffee cherries ripen more evenly, while also contributing to higher concentrations of natural sugars and enhancing the coffee’s flavor profile.
Tasting Notes: Tropical Fruits, Nuts, Chocolate
Process: Natural
Varieties: Bourbon, Pacas & Caturra
Altitude: 1,300–1,400 meters above sea level
